Unlock Your AI Assistant

Unlock Your AI Assistant is a practical setup guide, reference file builder, and reusable prompt library created by Paulo Serna for real estate agents who use Compass AI together with a general AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. It teaches a simple two tool workflow: verify current information in Compass first, then use your preferred AI assistant to think, plan, and write. The complete toolkit is free, with no sign-up and no catch.

Version 1.0 · Last reviewed August 2026 · Free for any agent to use.

What is Unlock Your AI Assistant?

It is a beginner friendly operating guide that helps an agent stop starting every AI conversation from zero. The agent teaches the AI how they work once, adds the current facts needed for a specific assignment, and uses repeatable prompts to produce clearer work. The resource is a static educational workspace. It does not connect to Compass, does not call an AI model, and does not send anything an agent types to a server.

Inside the free toolkit you will find a ten minute setup path, nine reusable reference files (each with a blank template and a completed example), per file progress tracking, a library of eleven copyable prompts with search and category filters, a four prompt Starter Set, guidance on when current Compass information must be checked first, privacy and professional guardrails, a maintenance routine, and a short downloadable PDF introduction.

Who is it for?

Primarily Compass real estate agents who are new to AI or use it inconsistently, use Compass AI and one preferred general AI assistant, and want practical guidance rather than technical theory. It is also useful for team leaders and operations staff who help agents document repeatable work and use AI responsibly. It assumes normal real estate knowledge and no AI vocabulary.

What problem does it solve?

Most agents use AI in an inconsistent way. They paste isolated prompts without reusable context, repeatedly explain their business and voice, expect a general AI tool to know current Compass information, and mix verified facts with assumptions. The result sounds generic and cannot be trusted for client work. This resource replaces that pattern with a lightweight, reusable AI operating system that any agent can maintain in a few minutes a week.

What is the difference between Compass AI and a general AI assistant?

The entire resource is built on a two tool model. Compass AI is for finding current information already stored in Compass: contact and client records, recent activity, tasks, listings, saved properties in Collections, and open house leads. A general AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini is for thinking: planning, summarizing, preparing for calls, drafting and reviewing communication, comparing strategy options, and organizing next steps.

The core rule: if the answer depends on current Compass information, look it up first. A general AI assistant must not be asked to guess a client record, listing status, task, or any current fact that should be verified in Compass.

What will an agent be able to do after using it?

Understand which tool to use for which task. Choose one real client, property, or repeated assignment and set up a working AI project for it in about ten minutes. Create reference files that teach the AI how they work. Find and copy the right prompt for the work in front of them. Know whether current Compass information should be checked first. Keep the system current as they use it.

Is this an official Compass product?

No. It was created by Paulo Serna as a practical, educational resource for agents. It is not official Compass training, certification, or software, and it does not represent Compass policy. Compass AI features and supported actions change over time, so agents should verify current capabilities and brokerage policies before relying on any workflow.

How do I get it?

Just open the toolkit. It is free, there is no sign-up, and nothing you type into the templates ever leaves your browser. Your setup progress saves locally on your own device. Copy the templates and prompts straight into your AI tool and start with one real assignment.

Why is a working agent giving this away?

Because this is how Paulo actually runs his practice. His market research, the POTM data engine behind the POTM Blog, and his client systems are all built on AI workflows he designed and maintains himself, on top of an engineering background. Sharing the operating system is the honest way to show the work. If you are an agent who wants help going further, talk to Paulo about designing AI workflows for your own practice: your reference files, your prompt library, your data habits, and where AI should and should not touch your client work.
