What it feels like to live here
Inner Sunset clusters around 9th and Irving on the south side of Golden Gate Park, near UCSF and the de Young and Academy of Sciences just across the park. It has a real village feel: a compact, beloved commercial strip, strong community, and quick access to one of the world's great urban parks. It's typically sunnier than the Outer Sunset but still cooler than the city's east side.
