The bay windows here, screened in perforated aluminum, did not fit the Planning Code as written. A variance was granted on the argument that reading the code literally suppressed creative facade design, so the screening exists because of a decision made case by case. The site had been the Hertz car rental building, across from Saint Joseph's Church, and about 1,900 square feet of commercial space now sits at street level.

What has actually sold here
2 closed sales in La Maison in the last 24 months, the most recent in April 2026. 21 in total since 2016. That is too few to publish a median from, so I have not.
Closed San Francisco MLS sales through 2026-09-10, compiled by me from my own market database. Medians, not averages. HOA dues are those reported at the time of each sale and may have moved since. The neighborhood comparison covers condominiums only.
La Maison in San Francisco. The faint dots are the other new developments in this directory.
What I would ask about La MaisonPerforated screening changes how much daylight and view a room really gets, so see the specific unit at more than one time of day rather than judging it from the floor plan.
